Bright cherry colour. The nose is mature and intense, with roasted and a hint of balsamic. Soft and velvety tannins in the mouth and well integrated ripe fruit.

Monastrell /mon ah STREL/

Aka Mourvèdre. If you love Cabernet Sauvignon then Monastrell is your bag. Monastrell is a full-bodied and rustic wine that originated in Spain. The seafaring Phoenicians brought it over as early as 500 B.C. It is used quite often as a blending grape in popular wines such as Châteauneuf du Pape and is one of the major grapes of the Rhône. Monastrell is the third most widely planted grape in Spain, and has good resistance to drought.

Crianza /Kri AHN tsa/

Spanish wines are often labeled according to the amount of aging the wine has received. Crianza red wines are aged for 1 year with at least 6 months in oak and 6 months in the bottle.
