The Chardonnay grapes used in this classic example of Pouilly-Fuissé are grown on the sunny eastern hillsides of the region and average up to 65 years old. Ripe, exotic and layered with vanilla intensity from new oak, the Vieille Vignes is one to savour on any occasion. These wines will only improve with age.

Pouilly-Fuissé /po͞oˌyē fwēˈsā/
Pouilly-Fuisse is the appellation for the finest white wines of southern Burgundy's Maconnais district. They are produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown in the communes of Chaintre, Fuisse, Solutre-Pouilly and Vergisson.
Vineyards: Eastern exposure
Soil: clay soil of various colours
Age of the Parcels: 65 years old
Winemaking: Control of the yields, eco-friendly culture, plowing, manual grape harvests.
Aging: 12 months in oak barrels among which 20% of new barrels then blended in Vats. Regular bâtonnage.
Bottled in November and December.
