Tasting Notes

Introducing AmarNo, the Non Alcoholic evolution of Italy’s traditional Amari.

AmarNo contains  extracts of sage, Chinese Rhubarb, wormwood, and quassia, considered by many as digestive stimulants as well as tonics benefitting energy levels. An exquisite after-dinner botanical bitter, crafted by master “Amarologists” in Italy, yet without the alcohol content of other Amari and is an ideal complementary component to creative cocktails.

What is Amaro?

For centuries Italians have appreciated the flavour and digestive properties of bitter herbs, the key ingredients of the Amaros. Amari are usually consumed as post-meal digestivi thanks to their strong flavours and viscous texture. Amaro is traditionally made by infusing grape brandy with a (usually secret) mix of herbs, flowers, aromatic bark, citrus peel and spices — a blend that can include anything from cardamom to elderberry flowers. Then it's sweetened with sugar syrup and aged, sometimes for years. It's silky, like a liqueur; bitter and sweet in varying degrees and aromatically complex.
