Region & Vineyard Notes

The Château vineyards are situated in the commune of Couture-sur-Drot in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux  between the Dordogne and the Garonne: two rivers influenced by ocean tides that behave like inland seas. Entre-Deux-Mers is one of the oldest wine-producing areas in France, where winemaking goes back to the Ancient Roman period.

The Chateau Grand Billard wines are a gorgeous expression of the terroir; alluvial soils fed by the two rivers over a subsoil of limestone, and abundant sunshine with cooling breezes. These unpretentious wines from one of the most well-known regions of France definitely punch above their weight, and we can't wait for you to try them!
