Cider begins and ends with the apple. Our quality fruits from the Annapolis Valley are juiced onsite and slowly fermented, resulting in a natural cider that’s never made from concentrate. The result is a premium balanced blend of sweetness, acid and tannins that’s low in sugar, made from real apple juice and bottled onsite.
The Bulwark Story
Owner operated and based in the heart of Nova Scotia, the Bulwark Cider team is dedicated to a common unifying goal: authentic, natural, delicious cider. Germain Bergeron, owner of the cider house, is also a winemaker and owner of Muwin Estate Wines.
Terroir, artisanal wine-making methods, and the 100% blend of 5 fresh apple varietals, pressed on site are what set these ciders apart from others. Not all ciders are created equal! Bulwark Handcrafted Ciders are made from 100% Scotian Gold NS Apples, pressed, fermented, and bottled right on site at our winery in New Ross, NS.
