Tasting Notes
Attractively fruited and inviting, the wine shows ripe nectarine, grapefruit, vanilla and roasted hazelnut characters, leading to a succulent palate that is supple and finely textured. Just a whisper of oak eludes to long summer grass and the juicy somewhat saline palate speaks of the maritime region, with a lingering creamy finish.
Winemaking
True to the clone - Mendoza that dominates the blend, this Chardonnay is citrus driven. Just a whisper of oak eludes to long summer grass and the juicy somewhat saline palate speaks of our maritime region.

"Restrained and elegant, the bouquet shows grapefruit, gala apple, lemon peel and oatmeal characters with a touch of flint. Its finely textured and lingering on the palate with firm acidity, finishing persistent and mouth-wateringly crisp."
Region & Vineyard Notes
Nestled between the Wai-iti and Wairoa rivers in Brightwater, Nelson, the vines thrive in free draining alluvial soils of gravel and sandy loam. Nelson is NZ’s dark horse wine region and the hot value tip for the next decade for anyone who likes wine from Marlborough. As Lisa Perotti-Brown, the new face of Wine Advocate, tweeted: “Tho located in the shadow of Marlborough, the wines r anything but!”. Nelson is Marlborough’s small neighbour with only a couple of dozen wineries, situated on the North-west tip of the South Island the region consistently wins more awards than any other NZ wine region per hectare of vines planted.
