Tasting Notes

A bright and delicate rose wine. Floral, with scents of roses, hibiscus, pomegranate, rhubarb and wild strawberries. Lingering and mineral finish that ends dry and crisp.

Bobal \bow BAHL\

The name comes from the Latin, ‘bovale’ meaning ‘in the shape of a bull’s head’. This under-the-radar grape happens to be the 2nd most planted red wine in Spain. It ripens later than other varieties with young vines often used to make light fruity reds and rosé.

'Chaval' \tcha VAHL\

'Chaval' is young guy, or a person that looks young and has a youth spirit. Chaval is a wine committed to creativity, each label has an oenological surprise.

Winemaking Notes

Once the optimum maturity of the wine is reached, a short cold maceration is carried out, fermentation at 16ºC to later carry out the traditional bleeding method, thus preserving the must with all the flavours and aromas of the Bobal grapes.

Region & Vineyard Notes

Finca El Renegado (The Renegade) is an organic 540-hectare estate of unique ecological and oenological character. It is surrounded by pine forest and punctuated by eight monumental holm oaks, which affect the development of the grapes. Close to the sea breezes, this mediterranean influence affects the vineyard. Grapes ripen smaller and with greater concentration of fruit and flavour, setting the estate apart and making wines of unique character.
