GNISTA Non-Alcoholic Spirits

Malmo, Sweden

Founder Erika Ollén has been involved in the non-alco scene since 2015, but felt that there was something missing for people like her who enjoy the challenging taste of fine spirits, but who more or less often prefer to opt out of alcohol.

Swedish Gnista was born out of the sense that these people deserve something better. Their versions are dark, intense and complex – liquids that have the ability to replace alcohol when mixed in drinks. Making it possible to shake non-alcoholic cocktails that taste and look just like alcoholic ones. For real.

Gnista is hand-made only an hour’s drive from Malmo, and has been made possible using a unique combination of gastronomy, state-of-the-art technology and classic spirit making techniques (where distillation, brewing and barrel ageing are central).

Just like any spirit. Except it’s not.

We won’t lie and pretend that it’s been an easy ride. Self-appointed experts claimed that solving the beloved complexity of alcohol is simply impossible. We’ve been called crazy more times than we can count. Luckily, we didn’t give up. We took all of that skepticism and turned it into fuel. Fuel to spark the evolution of spirits.

Through a journey of ancient spirit making techniques, modern gastronomy and state-of-the-art technology, the world’s first non-alcoholic spirit that truly resembles a fine spirit saw the light of day.

Say hej to Gnista (Swedish for “spark”). Your faithful servant while hanging out with friends and family, showing off them dance moves up in the club or treating yourself after a hard day’s work.

So, will it be the answer to all of your problems? Probably not. But it’s worth a shot.
