Tasting Notes

Generous red fruit aromas of fresh cherries, blackberries, cacao powder, and faint liquorice notes. Typical notes of garrigue herbs. Round and medium bodied with fine, soft tannins.

The wine name, ‘6 Petits Gars’ roughly translates to 6 Little Guys, hence the label illustration, representing youth, freshness and the pleasure of sharing and being together. This wine is an extract of youth.

Carignan /care in YEHN/

Carignan is a medium-bodied red wine that grows mostly in Southern France where it’s a major blending grape in Languedoc-Roussillon. Besides France, Carignan is found in Northern Spain where it’s commonly called Cariñena or Mazuelo and it also grows in Sardinia (Italy) where it’s labeled as Carignano del Sulcis. If you love the lighter-styled wines of Zinfandel, Merlot or perhaps a Côtes du Rhône blend, then Carignan should be on your radar. Wines will burst with fruit and taste rich and smooth with much lighter tannins than Cabernet.
